James arrived Ellis is 5/4/1906
James went from Throckley to America. He was a builder. There is a record of his leaving Throckley and beong farewelled from Newcastle on the train to go to Liverpool in Isaac tarbit's Diary 1906. I am in touch with his granddaughter Georgette in California, and also with descendants of his wife.

Harry to see Jim off at 11.30 to Liverpool to go to San Francisco at 10o’clock the next day. A lot of his friends seeing him off, we walked out after 12o’clock. At Maggie’s between 8 and 9 o’clock saying goodbye."
