From the local newspaper, the Berwick Advertiser, of 25th October 1851 -
"Coldstream. 17th Inst. Mr. Thomas Coxon, road engineer, of Egglingham, to
Miss Jane Atkinson of Cock Hall by Egglingham."

Death Certificate of Thomas:
DEATH REGISTRATION
Registration District: Alnwick in the Sub-District of Embleton, County of
Northumberland
Died 26th December 1893, Eglingham
Thomas Coxon, male, age 65 years
Occupation: Road Contractor
Cause of death: Suicide while labouring under temporary insanity.
Certificate received from Charles(?) Percy, Coroner for Northumberland.
Inquest held 27th December, 1893.
Registered 1 January 1894
(Note: It would seem likely that Thomas' suicide may have been due to the
loss of his wife the December before. He committed suicide one year later,
the day after Christmas.
And due to the heart problems that run in my Coxon line, I was expecting to
find that on the death certificate! - needless to say I was quite
shocked!!...)
