Sir Piers (Peter) de Courtenay was the son of Hugh de Courtenay, 2nd Earl of Devon and Margaret de Bohun. He died in 1409, (sic) unmarried. (sic)
Sir Piers de Courtenay held the office of Captain of Calais. He held the office of Chamberlain to King Richard II. He held the office of Castellan of Windsor. He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.).1 He held the office of Standard-Bearer to King Edward III.1

Edward COURTENAY Earl of Devon, his nephew and heir aged 50. One of the execs of his mother's will." It doesn't mention that he married, so the reference to a wife may be incorrect. WT
