Shown on 1861 Midlothian census aged 9, born Dalkeith, a scholar living at 166 Wilson's Close, Dalkeith with her parents and siblings.

Shown on 1871 census aged 19 years, born Dalkeith, working as a Servant.

Shown on 1881 census, a Charwoman, aged 29 years, unmarried, born Dalkeith, living at Lugton, Dalkeith, with her parents and siblings also living with her was her illegitimate daughter Mary Grossert Pryde, aged 8 years.

Marriage record shows that on 8th June 1883 at Dalkeith, George Hamilton, Vanman, aged 27 years, Bachelor of Edinburgh, son of William Hamilton, General Labourer, deceased and Isabella Pryde, deceased married Agnes Pryde, Domestic Servant, Spinster aged 27 years of Dalkeith, daughter of William Pryde, Carter and Mary Grossert. Witnesses were Margaret Pryde and Thomas Grossert. George and Agnes were first cousins, and fourth cousins once removed. In addition, Agnes's sister Mary had previously married George's brother William.

Death record shows that Agnes Hamilton Pryde died 26th March 1899 at Lugton, Dalkeith, aged 47 years, daughter of William Pryde, General Labourer, deceased, and Mary Grossart, deceased. Cause of death: Probably asphyxia from alcoholism. Death reported by John Pryde, brother of Campbell's Close, Dalkeith.

Memorial Inscription St. Nicholas Old Kirk, Dalkeith states:

"...also Agnes Pryde widow of George Hamilton died 26th March 1899 aged 47 years..."
